2021 Cross of Honor Class for New York DeMolay

The Cross of Honor

What qualities make a DeMolay advisor? DeMolay International had a video where they asked DeMolays to share what these qualities were. Some of the answers included someone who was “Patient,” “Tolerant,” “a Friend,” “Quick to Praise,” “Someone I can talk to,” “a teacher,” “a real person, trying to do right” and “a person who likes pizza.”

Different words can be used to describe our outstanding adult volunteers. For 102 years, DeMolay has relied upon the generosity of spirit, caring mentorship, and appreciation for youth of our adult volunteers to make the dream of “Dad” Land a reality. The Cross of Honor was designed to recognize adults who give that precious gift of themselves to the youth in DeMolay. Please congratulate these outstanding adult workers and thank them for their service and dedication.

New York DeMolay is proud to congratulate the Cross of Honor Class of 2020:

“Dad” Steve Bunch: “Dad” Steve Bunch of Ridge Council and Meridian Sun Chapter has been awarded the Cross of Honor. “Dad” Bunch is a steadfast supporter of DeMolay going the extra distance to help mentor the young men of DeMolay and serving on the advisory council. “Dad” Bunch also mentors younger advisors and helps them to become the leaders of leaders that typifies a DeMolay advisor. “Dad” Bunch does a great job of looking at processes and thinking about how we can stream line and make them better.
