State Officer Application Process
New York DeMolay promotes youth leadership and development through a robust state officer program. Young men who have served as Master Councilor or currently serving as Master Councilor are invited to apply to become state officers for 2021-2022.
The application process this year is as follows:
1) Those seeking office should apply using this electronic form after discussing this with their local advisory council and parents or guardians. The form may be found https://forms.gle/pKiboEAHpVH9rhVR6 and this form is due no later than June 1, 2021 Some young men may find it easier to prepare their answers in word and then paste it into the form. Questions are below to help you do that.
2) After completing the electronic form, the State Chapter Advisor will contact the advisory council chairman to confirm their support for the applicant.
3) The State Chapter Advisor and Personal Representative will meet with the applicant, along with their parents and guardians to discuss the program and their support of their son's application.
4) The Credentials Committee will review the applications and confirm that it meets with the requirements, or where it falls short of the requirements, and notify the applicant by June 12, 2021

Any candidate for State Office must participate in an additional leadership development course. This could include ODLE, KeyMan, Region I LTC, or Garden State LTC, or the NY DeMolay State Officer Bootcamp (Details to come).

This is a multiple step process.
1) Those seeking office should apply using this electronic form after discussing this with their local advisory council and parents or guardians.
2) After completing the electronic form, the State Chapter Advisor will contact the advisory council to confirm their support for the application.
3) The State Chapter Advisor and Personal Representative will meet with the parents and guardians of the applicant to discuss the program and their support of their son's application.

The following are standards of service as a State Officer
State Officers are required to attend the first State Executive Committee Meeting at the Annual Convention,
State Officers are required to attend the State Officer’s Training Weekend August 21, 2021
State Officers are expected to attend SEC meetings, unless excused by the State Master Councilor or State Chapter Advisor
State Officers are expected to submit Monthly Reports as requested to the State Master Councilor and the State Chapter Advisor.
State Officers are expected to perform all tasks they and the State Master Councilor Agree to take on.
State Officers are expected to enter a York Rite Essay Contest
State Officers are expected to conform to all of the bylaws, rules, and regulations of DeMolay International, its authorized representatives, and New York DeMolay
