Ridge Council Chapter has a CAN-do Spirit for Make-A-Wish
For four weeks, Ridge Council Chapter hosted a Can and Bottle Drive to support Make-a-Wish as part of their charity project for the term.

The contest was for whomever could raise the most amount of money by collecting cans and bottles with deposits.  The person who collected the most amount won a SmarTV, while second and third received Visa Gift Cards.  Br. Will Bucknam placed first, Br. Conor Tyree second, and Br. Brandon Howard placed third. All told the chapter raised $128.91. Why did it not end in a increment of 5 or 10? Because the bottle depository gave extra money for pre-sorting and counting the bottles and cans.

Br. Brandon Howard, the Master Councilor at the time, says “It went well! It built up brotherhood with a friendly competition.”  He also shared “Gives me a good feeling because helping kids being able to have fun is a good thing to do because the Make-a-Wish foundation offers a child with a serious illness a day to have fun and not to have to worry about their health.”

Br. Howard presented Ridge Council’s Contribution to State Master Councilor Michael Jordan at SpringFest East and challenged other chapters to go out and support this great charity.
